With the beautiful weather we have had so far this summer, residents of Ontario are encouraged to enjoy the outdoors responsibly during COVID-19. What better way to appreciate nature than to spend the night in it! Many Ontario campsites at various parks have now opened. Campsites have certain measures in place such as asking their visitors to wear masks in public areas while enjoying outdoor time spent with your social circle.
We have lots of great campsites here in the Ottawa area, so if spending a night under the stars sounds like fun to you, you will love these 10 awesome campsites near Ottawa!
Each campsite is located less than 2hrs away from Ottawa, making these locations quick and easy to get to! We will start our list in order from closest to farthest away.

Breezy Hill Camping & RV Park

Breezy Hill Camping & RV Park is located just off highway 417 in Kinburn. This family ran campground features 123 campsites that come with water hydro and sewer as well as your own firepit and picnic table. Breezy Hill also offers small and large cabins with kitchenette, BBQ, firepit and picnic table. Some of the great amenities offered at this campground are: a heated pool, artificial lake and beach, playground, volleyball net, convenience store and coin operated laundry. Camping Paradis Bourget

This campground has been family-ran for the last 50 years. 172 campsites come with 15 or 30 amp service, water and sewer. Located just south of Bourget in the middle of the lush Larose Forest, you would never know that you are only 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa! Offering 2 on-site swimming pools, an adults-only hot tub, volleyball court, soccer field, basketball net, tetherballs, splash pad, horseshoes and bocce ball, this campground really is ideal for the whole family!

McCullough's Landing Campground

McCullough’s Landing Campground is located on the tranquil Mississippi Lake just between Perth and Carleton Place. The campground is situated on 50 acres. They offer both tent and RV site rentals.
