As mentioned above, Kanata is a great location if you are looking for something close to the city. It is only a 15-20 minute drive into the city or a half-hour bus ride. If you are looking to escape the city, you are close to beautiful towns in the Ottawa Valley such as Arnprior, Renfrew, Pembroke and more! Kanata is conveniently situated beside the 417 highway, making transportation quick and easy. You are also very close to highway 7, so making a drive to the GTA is also effortless. There are many major bus routes in Kanata as well, so getting around is easy even if you don’t have a vehicle!
If retail therapy is something you need, look no further than the shops that Kanata has to offer! Christmas shopping has never been easier with this abundance of options! Some of the larger stores include Wal Mart, Costco, Cabela’s, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Chapters, Winners, HomeSense, Michaels just to name a few! As if that wasn’t enough, there are also 70+ stores at Tanger Outlet! There are also lots of great grocery stores including Loblaws, Sobeys, Food Basic, Farm Boy, Metro and more!
You won’t be bored when you move to Kanata! You have Landmark Cinema, Canadian Tire Centre, XTreme Trampoline, Kid’s Kingdom, Kanata Golf & Country Club, The Marshes Golf, Unlocked Ottawa and so many more fun things to do whenever you want!
