And what better place to enjoy these last couple of months of summer than in our nation’s capital region! We have so many fun attractions that you may not even be aware of. We have compiled a list of our favourite unique attractions in the Ottawa area so you can enjoy the rest of your summer to the fullest! Many of these adventures are new for 2021, but a few are traditional fan favourites.

New for 2021, the Interzip Rogers zipline is the first interprovincial zipline to ever exist! Come and experience the incredible sensation to zoom at 40km/hr, 120ft above the Ottawa River border between Quebec and Ontario. The Interzip has two separate cables so you and a friend can enjoy your fly at the same time. At the end of your trip, you can even grab a souvenir photo from Kool Replay for $19 so you can remember it always! Be sure to book ahead to make sure you get a ticket as they do fill up quickly.

Do you like speed? Then you are going to love Calabogie Motorsport Park! At the track, you can come as a spectator, or you can sign up for the adrenaline-rushed experience of driving in one of these cars yourself! With different driving experiences such as the Mustang Racecar Experience, the Motorcycle Experience, the Winter Driving Clinic, or the Driving Experience using your very own car! The prices below only reflect the driving experience prices and not spectator events. Check the website calendar for spectator event dates you can attend.

Delta Force is the world’s largest paintball company and we have a location right here in our own backyard! Unlike most paintball experiences, Delta Force incorporates “movie-set” paintball scenarios and state-of-the-art equipment combined with an incredible natural landscape. Can’t decide whether you want to see Ottawa by land or water? Why not try the Lady Dive Amphibus Tour! This amazing superbus offers a beautiful scenic ride and floats around the city of Ottawa and in the Ottawa River. That’s right, this unique bus also takes you into the water! Enjoy your 1 hour guided tour with your informative tour guide who provides entertaining commentary in both French and English along the way. This unique experience truly is one of a kind and you won’t find this in most cities! In fact, this amphibus tour is one of the only of its kind in all of Ontario!

2021 came with all kinds of surprises for Ottawa, including the Ottawa Tiki Tours! This relaxing 90-minute tour takes place on the Ottawa River in a Hawaiian-style palapa hut. What could be more unique than this! Bring your friends, co-workers or family as you float around and enjoy your drinks. They offer sunset cruises, whole day rates, bachelorette parties, office events, birthday and graduation parties, they even offer weddings! The Tiki Tour is a fully licensed bar but does not include food. You are welcome to BYO snacks though!

Feeling a little extreme? Why not try out Parachute Ottawa! This skydiving team has over 185,000 combined experiences jumping from a plane and has developed an expertise that includes first jumps (tandems), civilian freefall, canopy coaching, and military training. Parachute Ottawa was created with the partnership of Mobility Lab, which is a leader in military parachuting equipment. The experience this team has gained with the Canadian Armed Forces solidifies the overall skydiving and training expertise, which no other skydiving center in Canada has. So you know you are safe with Parachute Ottawa! The landing area covers nearly 400,000 square feet and is free from obstacles. Your friends and family will have a great view of your landing since the main landing area is only 50 feet from the spectator area.

This experience is a little less extreme and a little more peaceful. At Captiva Farms in Wakefield, Quebec, you can ride one of the many beautiful horses over 450 acres of pristine farmland. Never rode a horse before? No problem, at Captiva Farms you can learn to horseback ride in the stunning Gatineau hills! Summer day camps and pony rides are always popular with the kids! The trail rides are offered all year long, so you can even ride through the snow in the winter months too.

Founded in 1990, Canadian Bungee’s site at “The Rock”, was and still is the highest bungee jump in Canada. This awesome experience continues to provide the thrill of a lifetime for thousands of people each year. If you aren’t up for the 200ft water jump, then you can enjoy the 1050ft long zipline 200ft above the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon. This zipline might not be quite as thrilling as the bungee jump, but you will reach speeds of just under 100 km/hr! Everyone who participates in bungee jumping and ziplining can also purchase a full video created by Kool Replay so they can relive the experience over and over again!

Few have dared to paddle over the rapid of the Mighty Ottawa River for centuries. Some of the rapids on this beast of a river can be pretty wild, however, there are a few that can be tamed right in the heard of our beautiful city! Let Ottawa City Adventures be your guide to exploring some of the untamed sections of The Ottawa River! Not looking for an extreme raft ride? Try out the solo-raft tubing! Paddle down the Ottawa River from Bates Island to the War Museum in a two-hour guided adventure in your own individual kayak tube.
